If your Eon Pro Scent Diffuser isn’t misting, don’t worry! This is a common issue and is usually easy to fix. The most frequent cause is the diffuser head not being secured properly. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Step 1: Check the Diffuser Head (Most Common Issue)
- The diffuser head is the most common cause of misting issues.
- Ensure it is properly locked into place by twisting it firmly clockwise until it locks securely.
- Important: Even if the diffuser head looks attached, a slight misalignment can cause air leaks. These leaks prevent the system from creating mist and diffusing the scent effectively.
- Applying a bit of extra force may be necessary to ensure the head is properly secured.
Step 2: Inspect the Oil Bottle
- Make sure the oil bottle is tightly screwed into the diffuser.
- A loose connection can also disrupt the system and prevent it from functioning.
- Remove the bottle, check the threading, and reattach it securely.
Step 3: Test for Air Pressure
- Turn on the device.
- Place your finger over the hole where the mist comes out.
- Check for air pressure:
- If you feel air, the internal mechanism is working, and the issue is likely with the diffuser head or oil bottle alignment.
- If no air pressure is detected, the diffuser may need a reset, or there could be an internal issue. Please contact customer support for assistance.
Step 4: If the Above Does Not Work
- Run a Cleaning Cycle: Oil residue can sometimes build up inside the nozzle, which may block the mist. To clean it, fill the spare cleaning bottle (included in the box) with rubbing alcohol or methylated spirits, attach it to the diffuser, and let it run for 15 minutes. This helps dissolve and clear out any blockages.
-
Replace the Nozzle: If it’s still not misting, try swapping in the spare nozzle that came with your diffuser. The original one may be blocked, and replacing it can often resolve the issue.
